Premier Inn Stevenage North

The staff are the reason I’d come back. They were bloody amazing, welcoming, friendly, and felt real, unlike at many other Premier Inns. Thanks for making us feel welcome. The rooms are clean and functional, though some are a little tired. Guest parking is free, and reception gives you the code. There’s good O2 and Vodafone signal in the rooms, which you don’t get at many Premier Inns. The in-house Social serves good food, and the beer is available on tap or in bottles. We had two meals in one sitting and both were good. Just get your expectations straight about the amenities, which are already listed. There’s no air con.

The check-in and dinner were brilliant. I’d been annoyed because the hotel pictures showed a Brewers fayre, but then I found out the pub was closed indefinitely. There is a small bar, and although I hadn’t planned to order there, the Heineken was excellent value, the food was fantastic on 27.11.25, and the service was excellent. The room was close to immaculate and seemed recently refurbished. Breakfast is tomorrow, so I hope the five-star experience continues for price, location, and food.

The room was lovely, warm, and clean, and we enjoy this hotel’s cosy bar and restaurant, which is very reasonably priced. Thanks to Sharon for changing our booking at short notice, and to Alexia for greeting us with a big smile after a horrendous journey involving an accident on the A1 and a search for another route. David made a fantastic breakfast, especially the amazing sausages, with Jackie supporting in the restaurant and bar. Lizzie also wished us well at checkout. See you next year for our family visits.

I travel and sometimes feel like a nuisance, but I felt welcome here. I use oxygen 24/7 and called ahead to arrange delivery. The receptionist remembered me from a stay a few months earlier and sorted everything in a friendly, capable way, with no fuss. She also booked me a room near reception. The room was very clean, though a little tired, and it looks like refurbishment is underway. Breakfast was generous, efficient, and well coordinated. Excellent stay and superb service.
