Allan Park

We picked the Allan Park on a whim while visiting Stirling, mainly for its location and the reviews we’d seen. Glad we did. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout our short stay. They gave us a genuinely warm welcome. We hope to come back one day.

We had a work meal here and really enjoyed it. The set menu was good value, and the beef was delicious. Everyone else’s dishes looked great too. Soft lighting gave the place a welcoming feel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s right in central Stirling, with bars and the rail station easy to get to. I’d happily visit again.

We stayed in the Lomond room downstairs at the far end. It was spacious, with an even bigger bathroom, lovely decor and side tables that looked like old suitcases. The bed was so comfortable I wished I could take it home. It was quiet enough for a brilliant night’s sleep, though we could hear people walking in the conservatory above us. Breakfast was worth paying extra for the cooked Scottish option. There was cereal and pastries for continental breakfast, and baps were available too, though we didn’t have those. The tea and coffee machine was okay, but didn’t hold enough water for how much tea I needed. I’m a two-mug minimum before I get going. The staff were lovely, smiling and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy since I’d sent our details ahead, and they gave us local tips on where to go and how to get there. We arrived early, parked, and headed into Stirling. The Allan Park is just off the main area, and at the end of the street there’s a really good pub and plenty more nearby. The hotel was brilliant. We’d stay again and recommend it.

We liked the snacks in the room, and the staff were fantastic. The room was good, though the bed felt a little small for two. Breakfast options beyond the included continental one cost a reasonable £6.50. I had a very nice full Scottish breakfast, and my partner enjoyed her Eggs royale. Great location too, and we’d happily stay again.
