Shaun and his wife welcomed us so warmly at Crannaig House, and we felt at home there. Our room was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. They made us a delicious dinner, followed by a generous, excellent breakfast. We'd gladly return and highly recommend it.

We loved being able to relax and enjoy everything at Crannaig House without needing to go out. The hot tub, surrounded by nature and birdsong, was a treat, and the beautiful house and setting had everything we needed. Shaun and Kate were warm, welcoming hosts. The food was fabulous, and they kindly accommodated my allergy. We enjoyed locally sourced smoked mackerel pâté and fillet steak pie, both cooked perfectly. A relaxed evening with lovely wine and company was rounded off with a fun game of bar billiards. We'd highly recommend a stay and hope to come back.

Three generations of our family could happily have stayed forever. My mother-in-law loved the easy-access ground-floor room, and our young adult children had the top floor to themselves. We were thoroughly pampered, and I hope we see each other again soon so my daughter can finish the Dutch book she was reading from your library. Crannaig House is full of thoughtful touches that make the stay feel personal. The owners' passion and care show in their welcome, the food cooked to your choice with local ingredients, and the way they spend time with guests, then give them space. Even the champagne in the jacuzzi and the coaster placed just where you need it for your tea feel considered. The spotlessly clean windows frame an amazing view. The photos are beautiful, but the place is so much more than they suggest. It goes well beyond an upmarket, recently renovated boutique guest house, with clean sheets, a modern shower, a cosy fireplace and a location that's central yet quiet and secluded. Will I regret writing this? Probably, if there isn't a room free when I want to book again.

The care Kate and Shaun put into every detail was unmatched, and the food they made was amazing. I've never had a better stay anywhere. Thank you for making my birthday feel so special and giving me such an incredible experience!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I loved staying at Crannaig House with Shaun and Kate. They took such good care of us from the minute we arrived, and nothing felt like too much trouble. I completely relaxed, the food was delicious and the rooms were sumptuous. Thank you so much. I'd definitely go again.
