Loch Arklet House

After a hard day’s walk on the West Highland Way, the extra mile and a half uphill and away from the route was difficult for us. Macs, who organised our trip, had booked the accommodation. The views up there were beautiful, and the picture shows Loch Arklett. Phyllis and her partner made us feel very welcome. Breakfast and the packed lunch were lovely, and we both slept beautifully in the bed. The room felt quite cramped, with too much furniture we wouldn’t use, so I’d give it four stars.

The setting was gorgeous, with a brilliant view over the dam and goats wandering nearby. Our room was cosy and spotless, and breakfast was delicious with lovely service. Phyllis and Chas made us feel so welcome. We had such a comfortable stay at Loch Arklet House that we didn't want to go home. We'll definitely return. Thanks so much, Phyllis and Chas. The hosts were so kind and genuinely interested in our journey. They welcomed us warmly and showed us around the house. Our room was clean and well looked after, and the English breakfast was superb. I'd recommend stopping here if you're travelling the West Highland Way.

The views of the Victorian Dam and the surrounding landscape were stunning, and the room was spacious, with fresh linens, a comfortable sofa, and a lovely en-suite bathroom. The shower had good pressure and the towels were soft. I booked at the last minute to avoid wild camping in the rain during my West Highlands Way trip. The B&B was wonderfully cosy, and Phylis and Chas were fantastic hosts. Chas did what he could to get my boots dry before I set off, and they made a great breakfast that helped me through the next day's walk. I'd happily recommend Loch Arklet House.
