The Barn Lodge

Great communication with the owners, and very accommodating for dogs. The rooms are a good size, though a little dated, or at least ours may have been. Excellent value for an overnight stay, and a great location just minutes from Stirling centre. Thanks 🙂

I had a ground-floor room with very easy access. The bed was really comfortable, the shower lovely and hot, and there was a comfortable little couch by the sunny window. Great views of the sunset, and a handy small fridge in the cupboard. Everything was beautifully clean, with no toxic air-freshener smell, and the owners kept me updated with good communication. My only issue was that the people on the next level stomped around a lot, even though the notice asked everyone to respect others and keep quiet. Highly recommend.

The view from our room was the best ever, endless fields with cows next door. We only stayed one night, but the place was very clean, the beds really comfy, and there were lots of clothes hangers, unlike what we usually find in hotels and guest houses. The room was quite small for our family of four, but it did the job. Only downside was the 10am checkout. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay again 👍

There’s plenty of easy parking, and Room #2 was warm and very clean, including the bathroom. I stayed two nights. I’d have liked fluffier pillows and a chair and table in the room. The blackout curtain was too small for the window, so the car park light came into the room at night. I think the housekeeper may have opened the top window on the second day, and street traffic woke me several times that second night. Luckily, I’d accidentally brought my eyeshades and earplugs from the airplane.
