My mum was told there’d be no staff on site in the morning, and that she should leave through an alleyway. The gate turned out to be locked, so when she found herself stuck I had to call the fire brigade to get her out. I’m very upset about the poor hospitality. Even if everything had gone smoothly, directing an older woman through an alleyway is shocking. Thanks for replying. I appreciate that none of this was intentional on your part. My mother isn’t comfortable with technology, and in a panic she only checked her emails and couldn’t find any contact other than the main phone number. Before calling the fire service, I checked your booking.com listing and public website for an out-of-hours number and couldn’t find one. I would certainly have called it first if I’d known about it. In future, you might want to show guests in person how to open that gate. My mother has been at an event, which was why she travelled, and then travelling home all day. She’ll be in touch soon.

Getting around to Manchester was easy, with transport links very close by. The hotel rooms were lovely, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Decent rooms and well worth the money. Top place, and the staff are mint.

The room was clean and well equipped, with a kettle and tea and coffee. The pub has a good beer selection, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming, with a nothing-is-a-problem attitude. I stayed on one of the hottest days of the year, and being on the third floor made it uncomfortable without a ceiling or desk fan. The other 360 days, I don’t think it’d be an issue. I’d definitely visit again ;)
