My room went from £105 to £115 a week, even though the contract is for 51 weeks. I’ve called Lomax and emailed again and again, but after weeks I still haven’t had a reply. I also spoke to the manager Anna Maria in person, and she brushed me off, saying she’d sort it, but nothing has changed. I don’t understand why only the price of the room I booked went up. I’m posting here because this seems like the only way to get through. Please put my original room back to £105 a week, or move me to the higher tier, which is actually cheaper than the lower tier I booked. I’ve attached pictures showing the increased price. I’d be fine with switching to the higher tier for the 51 weeks at £110, or having the original room price restored to £105. I’ll change my review if you fix the price or move me to the cheaper room. Thank you.

The accommodation itself is nice enough, but it’s frustrating that I’ve reported maintenance problems several times and nothing has been done. I’ve emailed too and heard nothing back. I work 9-5, so I can’t catch anyone at reception, and I’d at least expect a reply to my emails. Overall, it’s okay, and everything else is quite lovely, but the communication is ridiculous.

I lived here while at uni for two years, and it was the best place to be. People say bad things, but that wasn’t my experience. Anna, the manager, and Steven the handy man are great people who worked hard to make things good for students. The rooms were amazing, and for the price it’s a bargain. Shops, pubs, bars and school are close by. I’d recommend it to anyone living in Stoke or studying at uni there.

My room price went up from 105 to 115 a week for no reason. It’s unfair, and communication is HORRIBLE. They don’t answer the phone or respond to emails, even after I’ve tried for weeks.

TOP NOTCH. I stayed for 3 years for staff uni and had a great time. To be fair, I enjoyed the accommodation more than uni 😂❤️ The staff are amazing, and Lomax has great amenities, including the gym, gaming room and cinema room, all free. The staff help as much as they can with the place and with personal things for students like me ❤️❤️ Really enjoyed my stay, thank you Lomax.
