We had to buy our own glasses, cups, spoons and bedding, and there was general confusion throughout. The sheets were dirty, the house bin was full of beer cans, and the chairs and table still needed assembling. The TV had been dumped in the back yard. Two lads turned up saying they'd booked the house, so if we'd been out, they might have got into our room. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
On arrival, we were told we'd booked a room in someone's house, not a whole home as the listing said. The room was already occupied by someone asleep in our bed, so we couldn't get in. We also couldn't use the living room, kitchen or bathroom because the family living there said those areas were off limits. There wasn't a TV in the living room anyway. The bathroom window had no curtains, there was no shower curtain, and the bath panel wasn't attached. The bathroom door couldn't close because it wasn't attached to the frame at the top. The toilet paper was wet and mouldy, and the man of the house had his dirty, wet boxers hanging everywhere. In our upstairs room, the blinds and radiator were broken, the bed was missing drawers, and the wallpaper was peeling. We tried calling and texting the number provided, but the call was cut off immediately. The service was absolutely shocking.
This wasn't what I expected. It's a shared house, not a lodge.
