The Tradesman's Arms

The food was so good we came back for a second dinner the next night. We’d found this lovely restored pub while staying at the nearby Caravan Club site. The menu’s small, but there’s something for everyone, including different dietary needs and allergies, and everything is freshly cooked, nicely presented and delicious. The beer garden looks over the village green, with a children’s play area. It’s dog friendly too. We’ll be back.

Great service and a lovely atmosphere, and the meal was excellent. I’ll be making this a regular place to eat.

There are good walking routes nearby that pass the pub, and the beer garden has lovely views across the village and down the valley. Plenty of seats, and dogs are very welcome, with biscuits for them too. The owners have done a great job renovating this little pub restaurant near slapton sands. It has a warm feel, and they’re really welcoming. It’s often busy with both locals and holidaymakers.

A wet, windy Sunday lunch was just right here. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the cask ales were great, and the lamb roast came with proper Yorkshire puds. The chef squeezed us in at the end of service even though they were technically fully booked, which we really appreciated. Love this dog friendly pub.
