I was staying for work and had a £30 dinner allowance plus two soft drinks. I could use it at any of the three hotels they own. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent, with loads of choice, great quality, served hot and good value. Parking on site was handy, and so was the location for everything Stornoway has to offer. The staff stood out most of all. Christina was friendly and professional, as were everyone at breakfast, dinner, the bar and reception. A real credit to the hospitality industry. I stayed three nights, and although some negative reviews had made me concerned, I contacted reception in advance about the comments on windowless rooms. Christina, the manager, also met me at check-in. My room, no. 61, was spotless and immaculately presented, with crisp white bedding and towels. It was on the second floor at the rear, with a view of the harbour and lighthouse, and had two large opening double windows, a TV, kettle and a great shower. No complaints.

I don't usually go for carvery meals, but I tried this one and it was first class. Probably the best I've had on my travels across the UK. The food is excellent.

A lovely start to our Hebredian adventure. Reception gave us a warm welcome and good suggestions for tourist attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely, buffet style with loads of choice. The waitress and waiter were lovely too.
