Haughley House B&B

That charming couple did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and special. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially if you stay in for dinner and want to feel like a Bronte sister.

The beds were so comfortable, and the house had a peaceful, homely feel. My sisters even spent time reading poetry in the garden. Jeffery and Caroline were lovely hosts, welcoming us with local stories and tips that made the trip more special. There was loads of space for me, my sisters, and our parents. The food was delicious, especially breakfast, and the service was great the whole stay. We all felt at home and would love to return.

We had a large room with a view towards the church, and it had all the little things that made for a restful night: tea and biscuits, bathroom soaps, fresh flowers, and even chocolates. Caroline and Jeffrey welcomed us into their home, and it was peaceful from the start. The medieval building is a real architectural gem, as are the village and the wider area. We enjoyed a relaxing three days at this ancient residence. We could only have breakfast because of family commitments, but the food lived up to its description. We were visiting our son and his family nearby, and both of us had a very happy stay. The hosts were friendly and kindly helped with everything we asked for. We’ll be back!
