Arden Park Ensuite Rooms

The rooms were simple but had what we needed, and everything was spotless. It’s about a 10 minute walk to most attractions and places to eat, so the location worked perfectly. There’s no on-site parking, but a pass for the car park across the road is provided, so it wasn’t a problem. We’d stay again when we return.

The owner was kind and helpful with restaurant and sightseeing advice, plus discount coupons for tours. We also liked having a little kitchen for snacks. Breakfast costs extra, but it was fabulous and well worth it for us. Our room opened onto a lovely small private courtyard, which would have been a nice place to sit if it hadn’t been cold and rainy. The room was on the small side, and, as is common in European hotels, the bed was much firmer than we’re used to in the US. We had a lovely stay in Oct 2015 and I’d happily come back.

Our room was pleasant, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed for one night. It was SPOTLESS, and the bedding was good quality. The stairs up to it were pretty steep, though I took that as a chance to burn off some of the extra calories I’d put on during lock down! Mark gave us a map and some nice walking suggestions. He greeted us in the car park and sorted the parking ticket, then showed us into the property. The entrance had lots of character and great art work, and everything was covid safe. We felt warmly welcomed and would absolutely stay again. Thankyou Mark.
