Midsummer House

The location worked really well, with parking on site and only a short walk into the centre through the back entrance. Sandie and James were lovely, and the room was furnished with real taste. Breakfast was a treat, fresh fruit and a really good cooked breakfast. We had a super weekend and couldn't have asked for more. Thanks from Paul and Mandy

We'd happily come back. The room, with its separate bath and shower room, was spotless, and the place is beautifully kept. Stratford centre is perfectly close by, and breakfast was really tasty. Sandie and James are such a lovely couple, always ready to help and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

Breakfast was top quality, and the room was excellent, with everything we needed. It's close to the centre too. Sadie gave us excellent service. A fantastic bed and breakfast, and we'll definitely be back.

The coffee was lovely, which made it a shame we had to rush it. We stopped by around 11am on Friday 16.7.21 with our two small dogs for tea and coffee, and asked how to reach the back garden. The young woman on staff said we could bring the dogs through, but stressed that we had to go through the last gate. Once in that final section, we found two tables reserved, including the one spot in the shade. The remaining tables were in full sun. It was already 25 degrees and boiling hot, really uncomfortable for us and the dogs, so we hurried our drinks and went back out to find shade on the main street. On the way out I saw people sitting at tables in the lower section with their sun umbrellas open. None were open in the dog section. It left us feeling as if we'd been put in a lepers section. A pity, since we would have liked to sit in the shade and enjoy our drinks instead of gulping them down to escape the sun. 😔
