The location was a plus, with a short drive into Stratford and a very quiet area. But the hotel was dirty and run down, and the photos don't show what it's really like. We were disappointed from the start: although we'd confirmed someone would be there so we could leave our cases before check-in, there was no staff when we arrived. Nobody answered or returned our calls, so we came back later hoping to find someone. Staff were rarely around during the day or evening, and there was nobody at departure either. Housekeeping hadn't replenished the room. I had to wait until I found a staff member to ask for towels, tea, toilet roll and other bits. The carpets were dirty, the TV didn't work properly, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. It hadn't been flushed properly by the previous guests either, which is not what you want to arrive to. It was a hot weekend, but the building wasn't equipped for it. The windows wouldn't open properly to cool the room in the evening, and the small fan didn't work well. After I slipped in the shower, I was asked if I was sure there wasn't a non-slip mat in our room. One was eventually brought over from another room, soaking wet. I rarely leave reviews, but I wish I'd known about all this beforehand. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The room looked nice, but the bed wasn't very comfortable and the shower was only lukewarm. Breakfast was a wrapped item left in the room, not fresh. It's a bit of a walk into town.

My room was a decent size and comfortable, and the hotel is quiet, as described. It might suit a more mature traveller. It's a few miles from Stratford, though I could walk to my meeting. When I came back after the afternoon meeting and again before heading into town, the bar and reception were empty, so I couldn't get a drink before my taxi arrived. My room had a shower room rather than a bathroom.

The bar area was beautiful, and we enjoyed a couple of drinks there in the evening. Breakfast was fabulous, the rooms were great, the beds wonderfully comfortable and the showers were great. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, and they were great fun too. One of the best hotel stays I've had, and great value given how lovely the area is. Thanks so much, I'd highly recommend it.

The location and car park were convenient, and the room was nice, though dated and ready for a refresh. The bathroom was fine, but the shower drain struggled to clear the water. The lounge also looked a little dated and could use some attention. At $85 it wasn't bad, though I think a Premiere Inn might have been better for the money.
