The calm hits you as soon as you walk into White Sails. The whole house is immaculately presented, and the owners were lovely, with friendly, genuinely useful tips for the local area. Our room, The Stratford, was bright and airy, and the bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was exceptional and set us up well for the day. Even though our stay was a long time ago, I still remember it fondly and would happily return on another visit.

Breakfast was very good, with a fantastic spread of cereals, fruit, yogurts and hot food. We chose the full English and thought the quality was excellent. We had a one-night stay at the White Sails and got a warm welcome from the owner Tim, who showed us to No.1 Stow after explaining what he needed. It was a lovely, large room with pretty decor, a silent fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and a very large, modern en-suite shower room. Definitely recommend.

We stayed two days at White Sails and definitely plan to come back. Tim & Denise are lovely hosts, and the little extras were thoughtful: homemade cake when we arrived, sherry, and freshly baked bread each day. Our room, the Stratford, was lovely and had an amazing en suite. Highly recommend.

Those little extras are what make White Sails stand out. There was home baked ginger cake in our room, sherry and an espresso machine in the cosy lounge, and bowls of sweets and mints dotted about. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and Tim gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at this lovely B & B. Breakfast had plenty of choice and some unique touches. We’ll return, and can’t recommend it highly enough.

They’ve thought of everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, the bed was very comfy, and the towels were the best I’ve had at any hotel or B&B. The decor and furnishings were excellent. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit salad, homemade bread, and plenty to choose from, including cereals, grains and cooked food.
