Bear of Rodborough Hotel

The breakfast was high quality, and the service was top notch. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas, plus lots of walking paths to explore. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views. We got there early, so we had drinks in the bar while we waited. Nikki brought our keys as soon as the rooms were ready. She was more than friendly, looking after us like an old friend, and we felt welcome from the moment we stepped into reception.

That Easter roast was a real treat, with generous portions, rich flavours and all the traditional touches done right. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive, friendly and seemed to really care about making our day special. Even on a busy Easter Sunday, the service was seamless and efficient without rushing us. The Bear of Rodborough has a beautiful setting and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, just right for a special occasion. We left feeling very well looked after and were already talking about coming back. Great food, lovely service and a relaxed, happy meal. Highly recommended for a special occasion 👌

The burger was the best I’ve had in a hotel by a long way, and the Guiness was great, incredibly smooth. The bar area was really comfortable. Our room was nice too, and breakfast won’t disappoint, with great coffee and incredible pastries.

We stayed for our daughter’s wedding and had a fantastic time. The staff were incredibly helpful, and our room was spotless. We had a dog-friendly room, which was great, though it didn’t have a bath, something to keep in mind if that matters to you. The grass outside was quite muddy during our visit, so we had to keep the dogs in the car park area when they needed to toilet. Apart from that, everything was lovely. We’re grateful for such a special stay. Thank you!
