We really enjoyed our time at Woodchester and hope to come back. We were there for a wine tour, lunch and an overnight stay. The tour with Diana and Lexi was brilliant, interesting and informative, and we liked the wines. Lunch was fantastic and generous, and they catered for me as a vegan while my husband had a different option. After the tour and lunch, our room was ready. It was stunning, with two floors, two bathrooms, three outdoor seating areas, one at the front and two at the back, plus a small kitchenette. A cooker was really the only thing missing. Since there’s no restaurant on site, making dinner would have been difficult, and we weren’t prepared to skip drinking 😂. Ordering a takeaway was easy and enjoyable. We had Simpsons fish and chips in Stroud. Thank you, Woodchester!

A lovely surprise gift from my daughter, and such a treat! We live near the vineyard and have done a few tastings and tours before, but never stayed overnight. This time our cosy accommodation was well appointed, with a spacious bedroom that exceeded our expectations. We always learn something new from the guide whenever we visit. We love it at Woodchester Vineyard!

We haven’t stayed overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms. We had a great Sunday afternoon tasting with a very friendly, knowledgeable host. It began with a welcome glass of Bacchus, then a short presentation and a tour of the Woodchester vineyard, presses and wine barrels, along with a discussion of how bottling works. Back in the tasting room, we tried four more wines and heard about their aromas, flavours and possible food pairings. I’d recommend visiting. If you’re not staying at the vineyard, arrange a lift, public transport or a taxi, as the pours are generous 🍷🥂.

We stayed for two nights in the barns at Woodchester Valley to celebrate my birthday, and had a brilliant weekend. Every little detail felt just right. The wine tour and tasting were a real highlight, and Alistair was a very good guide. I’d highly recommend a visit or a stay, and hope we can return.

We joined the Sunday dog tour around the vineyards, and it was a wonderful outing in a beautiful setting. Ian and Ella were brilliant, friendly and really knowledgeable, explaining the details of growing vines and making wine so well. The tasting was good too, with three wines explained. Well done, everyone.
