I've stayed here many times and will definitely be back. It's a clean, tidy and airy B&B, with spacious, nicely decorated rooms. The location is ideal for the beach, shops and walks. Alan is a wonderful host and really can't do enough for you.

The location was ideal for my mother, who has limited mobility, with the train, town and beach nearby. My sister even got in a swim before breakfast. We felt at home throughout our wonderful stay, thanks to the friendly, helpful welcome. We'll return next year if there's room. Many guests come back regularly, so we may see them again too.

Alan gave us a warm welcome and knows Swanage inside out. The B&B is perfectly placed for the town, beach and railway. Breakfast had a superb choice, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I'm looking forward to seeing Alan again in April after his winter renovations. We've already booked.

I felt very welcome thanks to the knowledgeable and hospitable host. My en-suite room was extremely comfortable and had tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with options such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. I'd definitely stay again.

The newly renovated sea view room was definitely worth the extra cost. We were the first guests to stay in it, and it had a small fridge, tea-making facilities, a safe, and a little table with two chairs in the bay window. All the en-suite rooms are beautifully decorated, with superb attention to detail. Alan has spent the past six years bringing every room up to a very high standard, and he's an excellent host. I'd compare Caythorpe House to a very good boutique B&B. Breakfast is customised to your requirements from a choice you order the night before. The house is a short walk from the beach, Swanage steam railway and quaint town centre. We'd definitely come again.
