King's Head Inn

The included breakfast at the pub was a great way to start the day before heading for the beach, which is an easy walk or short drive away. I've stayed here twice with my partner and am already looking forward to coming back. Great rooms, pub, location and staff. Thanks for having us.

We had a lovely end to my 60th birthday with a meal at The Kings Head. The owners and staff were so friendly and attentive. They even arranged for my 'birthday cake' to be brought out and sang Happy Birthday. I was really touched. It was a quiet Tuesday in December, but sitting by the log burner made it cosy. We ordered the buffalo burger, venison and blueberry pie, and crispy chilli beef. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you!

If you're looking for a luxury treat with high-end rooms and food, this isn't the place. The rooms are old and need updating for what they cost, and the restaurant food was poor quality and overpriced. The good location and great breakfast were the saving graces. When we raised concerns about the quality and value, the people in charge at the Kings Head wouldn't accept our criticisms and offered only another free stay. That felt like the cheapest goodwill gesture, especially since the complaints were about the rooms and food. It took us two hours to travel there, and I can't see the rooms, chef or ingredients changing enough to make another trip worthwhile, never mind the petrol, time and effort. We were so disappointed. Just being honest.

After a good walk on Rhossilli beach, we stopped in at lunchtime for food. There were five of us and two sandy dogs. The pizzas were excellent and the beer was good. Would recommend.
