The Music Fable

Don’t let the outside put you off :)) The house is full of art, and the people there are kind and helpful with questions about the surrounding area. Have a look around and ask Tim about things. He’s happy to chat about all sorts, and his music collection is impressive. Like any artist, he’s made the place feel different for different people. I’m not usually one to write reviews, since everyone’s experience is different, but I found this hotel downright weird and creepy. The staff and owner had us wandering around for ten minutes trying to find our room, and neither seemed to know where it was. Then the owner followed us there, talking at us the whole way, and came into the room to show us around, even though it was tiny and didn’t need a tour. We felt like we had to sneak in and out to avoid him. The interior is beautifully designed, but it’s overpriced and doesn’t seem to know how to run a hotel. The bathrooms in the rooms need doors, too. I’d never recommend or stay here again. I’d rather sleep on a bench in the middle of Swansea.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed with champagne, and the hotel’s decor is stunning throughout. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a claw-foot bath looking out to sea, and beautiful beach views. A great stay for couples.

From inside, the hotel feels cosy and comfortable. We stayed in a sea-view room, with a stunning seaside outlook, and the interior has real taste. The owner must have put a lot of time and effort into decorating it. It’s lovely to relax in the bedroom and enjoy that view whatever the weather. The ground-floor common area has a great record collection, and the music sounds really good.
