Premier Inn Swindon Town Centre

Breakfast really hit the spot, and the room was clean and spacious. The staff were attentive too. We needed a place after a friend’s engagement party, and the location was ideal. It exceeded our expectations for a one-night stay in Swindon 👍🏼

Breakfast was such good value that we were full and happy before trying everything. The room was really nice and the shower was fantastic. Check-in was easy with the automated system, and a staff member was there to help if needed. Thanks to the welcoming red-haired lady who helped my son find some hidden ducks he could take home. A fantastic Friday night stay.

Parking would have cost an extra £16 a day, so I parked elsewhere. The hotel is modern and conveniently placed in the town centre, with amenities close by. Our room was nice and had skyline views. There was the usual buffet breakfast each morning, plus a restaurant and bar for evening meals. Wetherspoon’s is directly opposite if you prefer. The staff were very friendly.

The older woman on reception at 14:30 on 16 May was rude and unprofessional. We arrived then for our one-night stay, while my husband parked the car, and went to see if we could get the rooms. She asked for our last name, and when I said it might be booked under one name or the other, she said, ‘you struggled there MATE’. I explained we were married and I wasn’t sure which name he’d used. She replied, ‘I don’t have a problem with that MATE’. Then she said we had to wait for the lead booker, which was fine. When he arrived, she immediately said he was too early; he told her we had early check-in. She checked us in and handed over the key cards, but didn’t explain where the stairs were or how anything worked. Frankly, she shouldn’t be working front of house.
