The buffet was outstanding, with fresh, tasty food instead of the usual deep fried spread. There were pizzas, sliders, sandwiches, mini desserts, and plenty of everything. The room looked beautifully decorated, so we only needed to add our own touches, and the photos from the night came out wonderfully. It was incredible value compared with other Tamworth venues. We booked the function room for my mum’s 80th birthday and had a fantastic evening. Roberto and the team were helpful from the first booking through to answering all my questions beforehand and looking after everything on the night. I’ve never had so many friends and family tell me how lovely the venue staff were. We’ll certainly book the room again.

The food was lovely, the atmosphere was just right, and the price was brilliant for what you get. We had an amazing time at The Plough & Harrow for bottomless brunch. It’s a great spot to relax, have a drink and enjoy yourself. We felt well looked after and will definitely return. Highly recommend for a fun day out that’s good value.

We celebrated my niece’s 18th birthday here and had a grand time. The staff were amazing, the venue decorated for us using the things we’d dropped off, and the food was delicious. With 15 of us, we needed to preorder from the light bites lunch menu, which was fine. The portions were bigger than expected, and people who chose from the main or pizza menus were happy too. The outside seating area was a big hit, and I enjoyed keeping an eye on the little ones playing in the playground and on the bouncy castle after cake. One thing I’d have expected was for adults or staff to enforce the rules, or at least keep their children in check. It says “No ball games,” but the kids kicked balls all over. One hit a car, and another went straight into me, with no one saying a word or even sorry. Still, highly recommended!

We set out on a cycling trip from 18 km away, then got an unexpected puncture in the rain and stopped at The Plough & Harrow in Fazeley, near Birmingham. Emily helped us secure our bikes so we could relax without worrying about them. She was warm and attentive, and the rest of the team made us feel welcome too. We had chicken wings, crispy chips and refreshing drinks. Everything was delicious and came quickly, just what we needed on a wet day. The place has a charming atmosphere and is conveniently close to Tamworth Castle and Drayton Manor Theme Park, so it could make a good base for exploring the area. What could have been an awkward stop turned into a pleasant visit, thanks to Emily and the team. I’d recommend this friendly, accommodating place to anyone looking to eat or stay in the Fazeley area. We hired the restaurant for a private function, and Jamie, Roberto and the staff were amazing. Roberto went out of his way to help decorate and set up the room. Nothing was too much trouble.
