The breakfast felt like a special occasion, from the period crockery to the beautifully cooked food. The eggs, honey and yoghurt are home produced, and the other items were good quality too. Sally was a wonderful hostess, and the rest of the family were lovely. Our room was welcoming, comfortable and well fitted out, with a lovely view over the fields. It’s easy enough to find, Google Maps was spot on, and there’s plenty of parking. Chester city centre is only 15 minutes away. A great reason to choose a traditional B&B over a big chain. Thanks for a lovely stay, we hope to come again.

The hosts and their dog were so friendly, and they let me arrive a little earlier than planned. My room was cosy with all the little comforts that make a stay easier. Breakfast was a good full English, with cereal and toast available too. I paid by bank transfer since they don’t have a chip and pin machine, and it cost less than the big hotels nearby. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area, and would recommend booking directly for the best rate.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from and fresh cooking using their own eggs and honey. The rooms were clean, cosy and really comfortable, and we got a lovely warm welcome. We think this is one of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed in. If you’re visiting Chester and the Zoo, this is a must 😊

I was in Tattenhall, Cheshire for a training week and stayed at Fernlea Cottage B&B. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and the service was superb. My room was cosy and had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and practical with lovely hot water. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh eggs and lovely bacon. They asked me each day what I’d like the next morning. Thank you SO much.
