Tontine Hotel & Bar

I dropped in for a quick pint and to watch the football since they have Sky Sports, then had the best roast beef dinner I’ve had in a long time. The beef was succulent, the Yorkshire puddings homemade, and the cauliflower cheese amazing. The portion was huge and really good value. genma behind the bar gave the best customer care you could ask for. I didn’t stay in the rooms, but still gave them five stars because I’ve no doubt they’d be amazing too.

We had a great evening eating and drinking with friends. The Ironbridge is just opposite, and there’s easy parking across the river. Staff welcomed us warmly and showed us to our table quickly. There was a great selection on the menu, and the food was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The hosts were wonderfully welcoming and even gave my hounds their own special dog treats. The building is beautiful, and its recent refurbishment kept the original features and style. I fully recommend a trip to the Tontine Hotel.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just had lunch. The food was good, the service really good and the price about average. I hadn’t asked for peas but got them anyway. I suppose visitors to the UK can’t easily avoid them with main dishes, lol.
