The price for three nights with breakfast was good, and the bed was comfy. The room was clean and quite nice, though very dated, and the shower felt cramped. It did come with soaps and shampoos. The staff were friendly enough, but the bloke seemed very unenthusiastic. We stayed downstairs, right beside the dining room, which was a nuisance when we were trying to sleep at 8am. Breakfast was enjoyable, with toast and cereal as well, but the menu only had one option, a full English. A second choice would’ve been helpful, especially for people with allergies. For the price, I’d recommend it.

The place was awful. The shower room carpet was dirty, smelly, and unhygienic, and the black shower mat was soaking wet and dirty. Breakfast included mouldy bread. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We only stayed because we’d travelled so far and everywhere else was booked, so we had no alternative.

The owners were kind and friendly, which is why this gets two stars. I hate leaving negative reviews because I know quality can vary, but this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It’s very dated, which usually gives a place character and wouldn’t bother us, but it was also dirty and smelled bad. Our top-floor room was filthy. There was mould everywhere, stained dirty sheets, shelves thick with dust, and an old hair bobble full of someone else’s hair. The en suite was carpeted and smelled bad too. The carpet was so gross that I put my shoes on to use the toilet at night, and there was mould around the toilet and shower base. After the first night, my partner and I both developed a rash, despite never having skin sensitivity issues before. It got worse as the stay went on, and we put it down to the bedding. Breakfast was fine, but because of the state of the rest of the hotel, we decided to eat elsewhere. If it hadn’t been Iron Man weekend, we’d have left and gone somewhere else. I’d urge people looking to book to think twice. I know it’s one of the cheapest hotels in Tenby, but there’s a reason.

The man who checked us in was nice, and our room was lovely, but the smell of Dettol was overpowering. There were buckets of bleach and cleaning products everywhere, and even a bottle of bleach was holding the front door open. I thought the first-floor toilet was for general use because the door clearly said “toilet.” Inside the shower cubicle were used flannels, a used towel, conditioner, and cleaning cloths. It’s a shame because the place could have been lovely, but there were far too many cleaning products and the Dettol smell was everywhere for my liking. It set off my asthma, so we had to move to another B&B. There were footballs outside other rooms and random toys around too. The whole place felt really strange. My boyfriend said it was like the house from Chainsaw Massacre. Sorry, it was just weird!

We spent one night here for a short anniversary break and were pleasantly surprised. The family running the guest house were lovely and very welcoming. Our room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and more than adequate, and breakfast was great, with plenty of satisfying choices. The friendly, comfortable place made our enjoyable Tenby trip even better.
