The Imperial Hotel

Breakfast was delicious, and we ate it in a room with lovely views over the sea and beaches. Our room had an incredible sea view too, and we were lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins passing by. The Imperial hotel Tenby has been recently refurbished, so everything felt fresh. It’s right in the heart of Tenby, close to all the attractions, and every staff member we met was friendly and more than helpful.

Dinner on our first night was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I had steak, and both the food and service were excellent. We weren’t rushed and had a really enjoyable evening. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and just right. I spent two nights here with four friends and couldn’t fault the hotel. Our room was smallish, but that didn’t matter: it was warm and comfortable, with sea views and a lovely modern shower room. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even phoned me to arrange the return of a small item I’d left behind. I’d definitely recommend this relaxed hotel and feel sure we’ll come back.

Our ten-month-old puppy was made very welcome, and the staff were lovely with him. The Friday night lamb was cooked perfectly, breakfast was great, and our room was lovely with a fabulous sea view and what looked like a brand-new bathroom. It was our first dog-friendly weekend break here, and I loved the hotel. I can’t fault it. The only downside is there’s no parking on site, but there’s a public car park two minutes away, at £15 for 24 hours. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend it.

We went for afternoon tea rather than staying at the hotel. The service was excellent and the food delicious, and it was a very nice way to spend an afternoon. We were two couples and ordered two savoury and two sweet teas, which gave us a good selection. In summer, the views over to Caldy Island should be spectacular.
