The gardens and grounds were a joy to wander after dinner, with fresh air, fragrant surroundings, nature sounds and lovely views around each turn. Earlier, dinner itself was a highlight: every course looked beautiful, tasted full of flavour, and showed real care in its preparation. The ingredients and attention to detail were better than we expected. We came to Dumbleton Hall for our seventh wedding anniversary, and the evening setting made a lovely first impression. Lights glowing against the evening sky and the quiet countryside gave the place a romantic, relaxed feel. Inside, the renovation brings together the building’s history and elegant design, with restored details and carefully styled rooms that feel both inviting and luxurious. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and their personal welcome added to the occasion. The hotel, food, service and surroundings made our anniversary memorable. We left with lovely memories, would recommend Dumbleton Hall for a special celebration or a relaxing getaway, and can’t wait to return.

The staff were really friendly, and even our modest purchase was good quality. We only popped in for a drink one afternoon, but we’ll definitely return. It was a sunny day, though the venue would impress in any weather, with beautiful surroundings, views and walks. A very top class place.

The sheep around the grounds looked like they were paid to be there, which I loved. We spent the weekend at Dumbleton Hall, a beautiful manor hotel in the Cotswolds with lovely scenery in every direction. We got all sorts of weather over two days, and I liked the grey, rainy spell best because the colours seemed to stand out more. The food struck a perfect balance between delicate and delicious. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

I was there delivering trees and spoke to a few guests after breakfast. They said they loved the place.

The room we had was clean and had a lovely view, and when the weather got really hot they kindly brought us a fan on request. Breakfast was very nice, with pleasant staff catering for everything we needed. It’s a really lovely hotel set in beautiful countryside, and the drive up is impressive, though the road has lots of potholes. The staff were helpful and did their best to assist. Some of the decor feels old, especially the hallway carpets.
