The owners made the stay special from the moment we arrived, with coffee and cake waiting and a taxi arranged both ways to a nearby restaurant. They were always happy to help. The room was clean and a good size, with tea and coffee, robes, a hairdryer, and sockets on both sides of the bed. The shower was one of the best I've used. Breakfast was included, with a full English as well as cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt, and locally sourced ingredients where possible. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it.

We’re planning to come back for a longer stay. The guesthouse is clean and welcoming, with generous, tasty breakfast and gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The hosts were warm and hospitable, and the surrounding green hills are lovely. For a peaceful walk, Caldwell bridge is well worth a visit; Thorpe cloud and the stepping stones are also just a short walk away.

After six hours on the road, arriving to the scenery, house and animals was a lovely lift. Musti and Ali greeted me warmly, then gave me space to unwind while staying available if I needed anything. I slept well in a tidy, comfortable room with gorgeous morning views, and the shower was welcome after a long motorcycle ride. Breakfast and coffee were just right before my walks, and I appreciated the secure parking. Hillcrest House will be my first choice when I'm back in the area. Great for countryside walks, views, good food and friendly people, plus a few cute animals. Thanks, Ali and Musti!

We had a large room and a comfortable bed, plus a fantastic shower. The location worked really well for exploring nearby, and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. We'd happily recommend it and plan to return soon.

The cottage made a very comfortable base for us and the children. It was clean and well equipped, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We also really enjoyed the excellent breakfast. With walks starting right from the B&B and such beautiful scenery around, we’d gladly come back.
