I only wish I’d had more time there. The building and grounds were gorgeous, and it was lovely and quiet, set back from the road. The room was spacious and luxurious, with an amazingly comfortable bed and an en-suite to die for, including a beautiful freestanding roll-top bath. Natalie deserves a big thank you for all her help, insight, and conversation. Breakfast was delicious and served in a very organised way. I’d choose this as my go-to place for future stays in the area.

Breakfast was fantastic the next morning, a full fry-up, and the staff were very pleasant. We were given a little checklist to fill in beforehand so they could cook our order. We had a good stay in a quiet spot, with lovely views in the little village of Thursford. It was a wedding gift from one of our guests, and we stayed for one night. Our room, Holly, was great, with a large, comfortable bed and tea and coffee facilities. There was no milk when we arrived, though I’m sure it might have been possible to get some depending on the time of day. The place was unmanned at the time, and there was no obvious milk for the tea. The bathroom was immaculate and huge, with a freestanding bath, his-and-hers sinks, and a walk-in shower. My wife slept perfectly, but I didn’t sleep as well because the smoke alarm was directly above where I lay and its light was extremely bright. I usually sleep in pitch darkness, so that little light bothered me. With a better night’s sleep, the stay would have been almost faultless.

The staff made us feel welcome, and breakfast was hearty and good. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms had excellent amenities, and the quiet surroundings made for a peaceful stay. It’s a charming B&B with a beautiful garden, and the pictures represent it very well.

The rooms are very high-tech, with advanced options for temperature control. Stephanie and Joanne in the kitchen were lovely, friendly, and welcoming. Gorgeous B&B, I can’t fault it. I’ll definitely be coming back.
