Castletown Hotel

Dinner was a real highlight, the salmon and sea bass were both very nice, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Our large room had a comfortable bed and pillows. There were some upstairs creaks, so it was a little noisy, but we still slept well. The included hot and cold breakfast was a bonus.

The price is a bargain by today's standards, and breakfast has everything you need. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. The staff deserve a special mention, they're a real asset to the hotel, friendly and helpful. I'd definitely come back. Thanks.

I was grateful to find a last minute room that would take my two small dogs. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and the location was convenient with parking on site. My single room was £80 plus £10 for the dogs, which seemed very reasonable. It was a decent size, clean, and had a comfortable bed and pillow. I didn't sleep well, though. There was a lot of noise from doors and the walls were thin. The bathroom also felt dated, and the towels were very worn, which took away from the room a bit. For dinner I had sweet and sour mixed veg with rice and chips. Staff let me know the chips used the same fryer as meat, but they were still served, so I took them off my plate. Breakfast was included but very basic, with no vegan sausages, and the plate felt bland and disappointing for the room price. I did appreciate that oat milk was available for coffee, thank you.

Easy, friendly check in, with plenty of off street parking behind the hotel. The superior room was large, as was the bathroom, and the bath sheets were a nice touch. Had a brilliant steak evening, best ribeye I've had in the UK so far. Later we wandered into the local bar and stumbled across a locals' jamming session, where we made new friends.
