The cottages are spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the setting is lovely for walks. Shops, pubs and restaurants do mean getting in the car, though. A couple of maintenance things needed attention: the shower handset over the bath had come loose from the wall, and the basin taps had to be tightened to stop them dripping.

The welcome hamper was delicious, with local eggs, butter and sough dow bread. The converted barn has lovely old beams, and the high ceilings make it feel roomy. A great stay, highly recommend.

Just outside Midhurst, the cottage is in a lovely spot. We arrived to a tasty welcome basket with bread, butter, milk and jam, and the kitchen was well equipped. The furnishings throughout were also a high standard.

We’re back for about the third or fourth year in a row, and it’s lovely every time. The peaceful setting is perfect, and everything is where you need it, with top quality and attention to detail throughout. Cowdray does this very well.

The bedroom was warm and cosy, and the cottage had everything needed for self catering. It’s surrounded by countryside and nature in a peaceful location. Would recommend!
