We went to The Wootons Inn for two big family birthdays, and they made our stay feel perfect. I stayed three days in the accessible room, which suited my needs well. The wet room is huge, with a two-part shower and shower stool. A shelf or rack might be useful, but it wasn’t a real problem. There’s plenty of space in the main room for walkers or wheelchairs, and we could have our dog with us. He’s nervous around strangers, and the staff were very accommodating. At my request, they left everything outside our room each day so we wouldn’t miss out, and replenished our fresh towels, tea and biscuits. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely stay again.

I can only comment on the food and atmosphere. We visited Tintagel in the late afternoon, then spent the time until sunset at a garden table. It was a special evening for us: tasty food, lots of beers to choose from, and a great atmosphere.

We came in because the menu caught our eye, and the mussels turned out to be surprisingly good. The crab sandwich looked delicious too, with a generous amount of crab. There are beautiful views and an inviting outdoor seating area. The pub’s exterior doesn’t look quite as nice as the inside.

The food was inexpensive, cheerful, nice and filling. There’s a lovely sunroom that seems great for families, and inside you’ll find sports on TV, a pool table and dartboards. Only patrons can use the bathrooms, which seems fair. The pub is near Tintagel and has beautiful views of the surroundings. We didn’t stay, so I can’t comment on the accommodation.

My daughter picked this place on a very rainy evening because it served pizza and the other nearby restaurants didn’t. She really enjoyed hers, and I liked the southern fried chicken burger and chips. Staff were attentive, and the place felt friendly and welcoming. We liked the decor and fairy lights in the conservatory, which looks over the garden and fields. We didn’t stay in the rooms, so can’t comment on them.
