Dogs are welcome here, and they even have a menu for them. The food was amazing, and we got a really friendly greeting when we arrived. It’s a lovely pub, and we’d definitely go again. Highly recommend it.

The Mitre Burger at the bar was delicious, and it’s clearly a popular place in the village. I also had a very good cooked breakfast with great coffee. The room was comfortable, clean and exceptionally quiet. Excellent value for a stay in Witheridge. Thank you.

I was invited for Sunday lunch in the lovely, quiet village of Witheridge in Devon. At The Mitre Inn, a calm old golden retriever greeted us as we came in. I had a nice pork roast with crackling and all the trimmings.

The staff were so friendly and attentive, and both breakfast and our evening meal were very good. The steak and red wine pie seemed especially popular. We also had a pleasant night in a clean, comfortable room.
