It had been years since we last visited the Finnygook, probably back in 2017, so celebrating a birthday there felt like a good reason to return. There were six of us, and everyone was pleased with their meal and the service. We shared fish pies, risotto, hake and lasagne, all very good quality and fairly priced. The setting was lovely too. We left full and smiling, and won’t wait so long to come back next time. 🙂

We liked it so much that we booked for the next evening too, to celebrate our son’s RN pass out. The staff were great, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere lovely. This is exactly what you want from a pub. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We all enjoyed the Sunday roast as a family. The servings were generous and full of flavour, including the gluten free option, which was still a good-sized, tasty meal. Service was fast and really personable. Would definitely recommend.
