There are lovely walks nearby and hardly any cars, which makes it feel like sheer bliss. We’ve stayed for two weeks twice now, and a week would fly by even faster. The cottage is cosy, the owners are lovely, and their two huge fields are great for a walk or picnic. Our dogs love it, and the garden is fenced for their safety. It’s such a peaceful place that all you hear is wildlife, including the two peacocks you’ll see every day.

We left early the morning after one night of a planned seven night stay, and are now trying to get our money back. We stayed on 29th June 2024, unfortunately. The place was shabby, mouldy and dusty, and the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out. The bed looked as if someone had just got out of it, though that wasn't the worst part. The owners live in the same property, separated from the rental only by an ordinary internal door, so we could hear every word they said. They are elderly and infirm, and unfortunately have incontinence issues. The smell became very apparent as soon as we walked in. This isn't their fault, but the property shouldn't be let out until these issues are fixed.

There were deer, rabbits, squirrels, peacocks and all sorts of wild birds in the garden, so it's a lovely place for nature lovers. The annexe is really cosy and makes for a beautiful, peaceful escape. It's down a long track from the lane, so there's no noise. I'll definitely be back.

The outside was peaceful and quiet, which was the only decent thing. The place needs a serious upgrade, and you could hear every conversation with the adjoining next door where the owner lived.
