We arrived a few hours after booking a room on Airbnb and found a building that looked like a run-down hovel. After parking, we tried to go in, but a rude man told us the place had been closed for three months and we had to leave. I said I'd booked and paid online. He laughed and told me to go and get my money back. I'm disgusted. Don't waste your time here. It would be better off demolished and turned into a car park.

I slept beautifully, which was what I needed, and I have no complaints about the stay. The room was clean enough, the bed was comfortable, and it had everything I needed. I paid very little, so my expectations were probably met. I was especially glad it was a comfy wide single. The building felt shabby, neglected and as if people had given up on it. It's sad to see a place with so much potential being allowed to run down. I got the impression the owners might want to let it deteriorate and then make big money from the fantastic location and site. The woman looking after the place was very helpful and nice. There was a hole in the bathroom floor, which I honestly found amusing. It seemed fitting.

We booked this for a last-minute weekend away with the kids and paid upfront. When we arrived, the place was run down and there was nobody there to sort out our booking. Other people turned up and told us it was closed, and that they'd had the same problem and had to pay to stay somewhere else. I'm absolutely fuming. Booking.com said they weren't taking bookings because of unforeseen circumstances, but they'd taken my money that morning. They're looking into it, and I expect to get my money back. Awful, awful, awful. I only gave one star so I could post this. Don't book here.

We were out all day and got back late, so what mattered to our family of six was a safe, comfortable place to sleep, and this hotel worked well for us. The beds were super comfortable. It's also very well located, an easy walk down to the beachfront. Isabelle at reception was friendly and helpful when we needed her, and she rang as soon as we'd left to tell me I'd forgotten my laptop. That saved me a lot of trouble. We paid less than we would have at nearby places. The rooms are very outdated and need serious refurbishment, though the other wing looked more updated, so perhaps the work is underway. It's nowhere near a five-star hotel, but it was close to five-star for what we needed. I'd book again.

Our room was dirty, dated and reeked of weed. The staff member who checked us in was drunk, shirtless and wearing sweatpants. Guests' personal details were left out in the open on the office desk. He made me feel incredibly unsafe as a young woman when he asked me to go into his office while my mum was checking us in. Even for the price, the service was appalling. I'd give zero stars if I could. Don't stay here, especially if you're a woman or have children. It's a disgrace of a place, and it felt like somewhere you could be trafficked.
