Travelodge Manchester Trafford Park

It's just a bed for the night, and the room TV was hilariously small. Cleanliness was okay, service alright, and the beds were semi-comfortable. I hadn't stayed in a Travelodge for a few years and didn't expect much. If you need a bed for one night, it'll do, though Premier Inn is probably about the same price for a better experience.

The Trafford Centre is handy to get to from here, but this is definitely a budget hotel. We paid £33 for a night and weren't expecting the Ritz, but a loud, high-pitched ringing from inside the hotel kept us awake. We went to the front desk three times and each time there was nobody there, just a sign saying they'd be right back. Vehicles were racing late at night too. That's not the hotel's fault, but light sleepers should know. You get what you pay for, and we wouldn't stay again.

Modern, clean and good value if you catch a cheap rate. The location's handy, with a walk to Trafford Centre and the tram stop for the city. The chavs on the ski slope car park had what seemed like a car meet, which was annoying, but they were gone by 11pm.

Very basic, like other Travelodges, but clean and warm. The large car park and convenient location are useful. Booking online is easy, though changing dates can cost you: they charge for changes and keep the extra if your new dates are cheaper. Internet costs extra, and tracked devices only let you use one device.
