The setting is lovely and quiet, and it worked well for our family and dogs. The place itself could do with an update, though: the shower cubicle was mouldy and the shower kept dripping, the sofas looked dirty, and the decking needs some care. There’s no light by the hot tub, and the kitchen utensils could use replacing.

We had most of what we needed, and the location was good. The house could use renovation, though. Several doors don’t shut properly, there are quite a few cracks around the place, and the sofas were pretty dirty.

There’s loads of space to sit together and unwind, and the cottage feels really cosy. This was our second year in a row at pencraig, and we’re already looking forward to another stay. Once you’ve been, you’ll see why we love it.

It was so well equipped that we had everything we needed, even with bad weather. Just perfect.

Our family of eight had a really enjoyable few days in this lovely cottage. It was spotless and comfortable, and I’d highly recommend staying here.
