The Lambing Shed

The cottage itself is nice, but after a work stay I was really unhappy with the message sent to my Director. It said the cleaner was unimpressed by the mess, accused us of leaving food around and said all the bins were full. We found ants throughout the cottage when we arrived, even on the bathroom walls, and the only food-related washing up we left was a plate and bowl. Everything else was washed and left on the drainer. There was one small kitchen bin with a rubbish bag I’d brought; we left it because we couldn’t find an outside bin in the dark, having been there only from 6pm to 4am. The message also mentioned three used bottles on the beds, although we only used two of the three beds. I left nothing in the main bedroom, and at most my colleague may have left his water bottles in the twin room. They were ordinary plastic water bottles, not alcohol bottles, and I’d appreciate it if someone clarified that with my Director. Sorry if those were left behind. The message ended, “Please don't return. Andrea.” We won’t. I’d strongly suggest finding a new cleaner if this is what’s being reported. Only one star, unfortunately, though it is a nice cottage. All the best for the future.
