The drive to the property was a real problem. There was no warning about the awful, pothole-filled track, and no signs to say how bad it gets. Not everyone has a 4x4, and my car was damaged. Then I was charged nearly £800+ per night. I was also billed for wood even though you said it was an honesty box. You said I’d used four baskets, but only two were used. I don’t drink, so I’m well aware of what was there.

The rooms are really nicely done, and there’s a big open-plan kitchen and diner. It’s a little off the beaten track, but still not too far from things. The owner’s a lovely fella and nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful 😉👍👍❤

We stayed at a beautiful, spacious farmhouse with a hot tub and fire pits. Their Facebook page, starshinezzz, has the details.

You can get some peace and quiet here, while still being close enough to everything. Best BnB in Durham, and the best breakfast around. Thank you Dave 🙏🏼
