Parking can be a bit of a pain, and it is a little pricey for a pub. Still, the staff are friendly and the food is great.

The outside seating area was spotless, and everything inside was clean and tidy too. A young woman at the bar suggested the best bitter, which I really enjoyed. The staff were great. Not many village pubs keep things up to this standard. The people running this place deserve a medal, keep it going!

There's a lovely garden, a big car park behind the pub and a fantastic lean-to with a pizza oven. The old stables and barn are attached to this beautiful place too. We came on our motorbike on a sunny Sunday, had a couple of drinks outside at the front and watched the junction, where accidents seemed ready to happen. They have some ales, the usual keg options and plenty of bottled drinks. Roast dinners are served from 12 till 4, but we didn't eat, so I can't give it five stars yet. Looking forward to trying the food here.

There's an open log fire in this lovely little village pub, and the landlord and landlady were really friendly. I haven't had the Sunday roast myself, but it looks and smells delicious, and the portions seem a good size.

We won't be coming back. We were having a quiet game of hide and seek with one of my little boy's toys in a corner booth after a day out. When he hid it behind the TV, a man came charging across the pub and shouted aggressively at my four-year-old not to touch it. He was being gentle and careful, wasn't in any danger, and wasn't misbehaving. My little boy was so shocked and frightened that he burst into tears, and we left straight away. After I spoke to the woman behind the bar, it seemed the man was the chef. I don't want to return if staff speak to customers like that, especially when they're well-behaved children.
