The restaurant was a highlight for us. The food was so good that we never wanted to eat elsewhere, and the three of us tried nearly everything on the menu over the week. Every dish was excellent, and the view made meals even more memorable. Our rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable too. We spent the full week over Easter at Highgrove House while attending a golf tournament at Royal Troon. It was a fantastic stay, with friendly, helpful people throughout and service that went the extra mile. The staff were also very accommodating with requests such as breakfast times, and nothing felt like a problem. The location suited our plans perfectly. It was a quick trip to the Royal Troon golf course, and Dundonald Links was only a short drive away. I’m late writing this, but the hotel definitely deserved a review. 10/10, and we can’t wait to return.

The views are fabulous, and the characterful building is tidy inside and out. I came for lunch with my daughter. My curried prawns with mango starter was tasty and a good size, and the mango cheesecake with ice cream was lovely. The salmon main was disappointing, though. It was one small piece with crushed potatoes, greens and a creamy sauce. I’ve had the Seabass on another visit and that was a meagre portion too, so it wasn’t a one-off. The staff seemed harassed at times while juggling tasks, but the service was good overall. I like the setting and will come back, but please be less mean with the main course portions, chef. We do notice!

The Korean ribs and mussels to start were delicious, as were the Cajun chicken and lamb curry that followed. Everything was nicely presented. The view, food and service were all fabulous at lunch today. Staff in both the restaurant and bar were friendly, attentive and informative. I’d highly recommend it.

The calamari starter and Thai lamb curry both get the Lord’s seal of approval. Lovely lunch, and I’ll be back to try more of your culinary loveliness.

Dinner came with very quick, helpful customer service, and the balcony has an amazing view of Troon. I had what was probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten.
