The Green

Claire and Aurelius made us feel welcome from the start and were attentive and helpful throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully looked after. The whole stay felt like a trip back in time, and we enjoyed it so much we’d gladly come back.

Aurileus made us an incredible breakfast, especially the hash browns, and our stay was so relaxing. I’d been following this project since Hausbar closed down and was excited to finally visit. The renovation is gorgeous, with beautiful decor throughout the house. Our spacious bedroom had lovely garden views and a spectacular bathroom, and I honestly had one of the best nights’ sleep of my life. Claire and Aurileus gave us a warm welcome and were lovely to talk with, while still leaving plenty of room for privacy. You can wander freely around the guest part of the house. My only regret was leaving with serious house envy. A unique, high-end place to unwind.

We had a lovely evening relaxing in the beautifully presented rooms, and enjoyed the breakfast too. The house and grounds are beautifully kept and lovely to walk around. Our bedroom was spacious and extremely clean. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Green and are looking forward to coming back.

The hosts at The Green were warm and gracious, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Breakfast had a nice range of options made with fresh local produce, and the guidebook pointed us to a great nearby pub for an early dinner. We came back for a nightcap at the honesty bar. There are also lovely grounds to walk around and trails nearby. Every room is meticulously restored, tastefully decorated and spotless, with such attention to detail that we stopped to admire things as we wandered. It was a beautiful, unusual and relaxing stay, and we can’t wait to return to this luxurious BnB with a difference.
