Driftwood

We started our Cornwall tour at the Driftwood and would gladly have stayed longer. Each day we picked a different breakfast, and it was always great. Our room had a view, and the walk to the private beach was well worth it. We switched rooms to get a better shower, and the owner couldn’t have been more helpful.

The service was top-notch, and the hotel was absolutely stunning. The sea views were breathtaking, while the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing. With its lush garden, elegant interior and care in every detail, it’s a perfect place to unwind. Everything was truly exceptional 😍

We spent four days and three nights at the hotel and were very happy there, apart from the challenge of getting around without a car. We took a taxi to The Eden Project. This was our first time in Cornwall, and we came to celebrate my son’s birthday. We’re from NYC and were staying in Cardiff for the summer. The grounds, our room and the view were lovely, and the little paths up and down to the private beach were charming. There are also serene little lookouts on the property. Afternoon tea felt perfect and special. Leah at the front desk was very sweet, and the owner Fiona was genuinely kind and helpful with planning our day. Camilla and Dan in the restaurant were especially warm with my son and me, which meant a lot on his birthday. The rest of the restaurant staff were on point, if a little reserved and cool. We’ll remember this place for years and hope to return.

I didn’t want to leave. The stay was peaceful, elegant and stylish, like stepping back in time and shutting out the real world. There’s a lovely walk down the cliff to their enclosed beach, and the coastal path gives access to a pub about 30 minutes away.
