Sunday lunch was amazing, and the locals made for a lovely atmosphere. It's a proper little pub right on the route to Redruth and on through to St Ives. The Landlord, Wayne, and his staff were so welcoming. I'd highly recommend The Kings Head in Chacewater.

The bed was comfortable, and I booked a room for two at a fairly low price. The hotel is beside a busy road, so there's some noise. The pub downstairs also has functions sometimes, and gets quite loud. If you need a quiet room, this might not be the place for you.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good and easy to find. I booked because the price was good compared with other places. The biggest issue for me was cleanliness: the room needed a deeper clean, especially around the bathroom, which also had a bad smell, possibly from the drains. The pub can be quite loud, though that's not a complaint. Some people might find it hard to sleep if they're turning in early. It was an OK stay, and I'd stay again if I'm back in the area.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and there's a handy local shop nearby. The fish and chips down the road were very tasty too. It's a great, proper pub, with friendly locals and welcoming, helpful staff. Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable. I'd highly recommend it and would gladly stay again.

I popped in for a quick drink while waiting for a friend, but the welcome felt awful. Around ten people at the bar all seemed to know each other. When I came in, they and the bar staff turned and stared, and nobody said a word. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. They kindly let me use the loo when I asked, but I didn't stay for a drink. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go in unless I were a local. I've never been in a more unwelcoming pub.
