We started with a tasty mocktail each, then chose different fish dishes, both freshly cooked just right. The harbour view from our table was lovely, especially on a slightly wet day. We had a great lunch at The Lugger, and thanks to everyone from the kitchen through to the dining room.

We hadn't planned to stop for lunch, but it turned into a real treat. The staff were so welcoming, and dogs are clearly welcome too. We had a view of the rough winter sea from our table, and the fish and chips were the best we've had so far. Please don't change a thing!

The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, and made us feel at home throughout our stay. Our room was lovely, with some nice touches, and there was a comfortable lounge for reading or relaxing, plus a terrace for warmer weather. The setting is gorgeous and so peaceful. We'd love to come back. Thank you!

Work meant we could only stay one night, which was our only regret. It's a safe, peaceful spot at a very quiet working harbour, and there's free parking for guests. The food was beautifully cooked and served in a spotless dining room, with the care put into it clear in the taste. The place is pet-friendly too, so your pet can enjoy the break. Alison was especially lovely, and nothing was too much trouble for her. It's a lovely little place, and we'll stay longer next time.

We had a great weekend at The Lugger, and want to thank all the staff. From check-in right through to leaving, the service was exceptional, and we felt free to relax and make ourselves at home. If a stay in a picturesque fishing village is what you're after, this is the place.
