The house had loads of room for all 11 of us, six adults and five children, to spend time together, and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped with two dishwashers and three fridges. We also made good use of the garden, hot tub and sauna, which looked especially lovely in the autumn. It was a handy base for Hereford, Hay on Wye and exploring the countryside nearby. We had a great week as a family and would definitely recommend it.

We had some brilliant, hilarious family tournaments thanks to all the entertainment on offer. The kitchen had a good range of utensils, which made it easy to put together different meals for our big family get-together. Little details were well considered too, from the comfortable beds and linen to the stair gates, which were a real help. The outdoor lighting came in handy when we went to the hot tub and sauna as the seasons changed. There are lots of beautiful places nearby.

We were welcomed with complimentary cider, beer, coffee, cookies and crisps. The large kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The garden is beautiful and spacious, and we enjoyed having the sauna, hot tub, table tennis and table football.

The garden was a lovely place to relax, and the hot tub and sauna were a treat after a day out exploring. The house itself has loads of charm and character, and felt warm and welcoming as soon as we arrived. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The garden is fantastic, with different spots for different times of day and a seat or table wherever you need one. The mature trees offer shade when it’s warm, and the house stayed at a comfortable temperature too. Everything was clean, well kept and thoughtfully arranged. Inside, the kitchen had all we needed, and having two dishwashers helped us keep up with the dishes for our extended family. The children had plenty of games, though it was hard to get them away from the hot tub, table tennis and garden play equipment! The only thing I could think to take a star off for was the location beside a main road. There’s a long gated drive up to the house and trees screen the road, so we weren’t worried about the children being near it. It’s only a consideration if you’re hoping to walk somewhere. There’s plenty of mostly shaded parking, which made getting around by car easy. A really lovely place to spend time with family.
