The food was a real highlight. I loved the sharing fish platter, especially the prawns and scallops, and the fish and chips and prawn tacos were great too. Breakfast was excellent, with the best bacon I’ve ever had. There are only 10 rooms, so the lady working breakfast and reception knows everyone by name and checks that nobody has missed a meal. The chap on nights remembers your name and drinks order as well. Housekeeping keeps everything spotless, and all the staff are lovely and do so much for you.

We had steaks cooked just how we like them, and the cocktails were amazing 👌. As always, I left completely satisfied with the food and service. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it.

The only drawback was a bit of road noise, though you couldn’t hear it with the windows closed. Everything else, from the staff and food to the room and wee dram, was as good as you could hope for. What a great place to come across. Fantastic.

The owner waited on us and was kind, friendly, and really accommodating to vegans. There were some creative vegan dishes, and I enjoyed my meal a lot. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and I appreciated the care that went into making vegan options. It was my first visit yesterday, and I’m so glad to have found a nice restaurant in Turiff that caters to vegans. I’m looking forward to going back.

We felt very welcome, and the service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, and the setting and ambience were just right. We went for the first time for my husband’s birthday, and it was a lovely experience. We’ll definitely return.
