We stopped here during our NC 500 road trip. The price was just under £100, which wasn’t bad, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a continental breakfast included even though it wasn’t mentioned in the booking. There’s free street parking from 5pm to 10am, plus free WiFi. The room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of plugs, bedside lights, and USB sockets. Light from the corridor came in under the door, so you’d need to put a towel there if you want the room darker. The lady host was excellent and showed us to the room, even giving us a little tour, a nice touch. There’s a bar with live music, on Thursday night when we were there. The food was very nice, though the menu was small and focused heavily on seafood. The barman was friendly and chatty. When this bar closes at 11pm, their sister bar on the next street stays open until midnight. Breakfast was nice, with a lovely view of the harbour and hills, and the lady host was gracious again. You can pay extra for a cooked breakfast, but it’s a tad pricey. A very nice hotel, and I’d recommend staying here.

Dinner was the highlight. In our more than two weeks in Scotland, this was the best meal we had: seafood chowder, crab soufflé, mussels with two sauce options, hand-cut chips, and homemade bread. The service was warm, friendly, and efficient. Our little room looked out over the bay, and we enjoyed drinks outside while people watching. We couldn’t be happier to recommend this inn. Don’t miss it!

Our room was comfortable, good value, and had a direct harbour view. The food was delicious and better than we expected, and from the moment we arrived we were met with genuine warmth and friendliness. We had a wonderful stay at the Ferry Boat Inn and would happily return. I can fully recommend it to anyone visiting Ullapool.

Karen & Derek were so accommodating with our two large black labs. They made us feel very welcome and found us a spot where both we and the dogs were comfortable without inconveniencing the other customers. Their service impressed us from the moment we walked in. The place may look unassuming, but the meal was just as impressive. Karen’s recommendations were spot on. We’ll struggle to look past The Ferry Boat Inn next time. Thank you for a beautiful meal and a wonderful evening 😊

We were very happy staying here with our family on our road trip. The morning view was stunning, and the place is conveniently located. Service was welcoming and helpful, and the prices were affordable. An excellent place.
