The food was incredible, beautifully presented and delicious, and everything was so well organised that the day flowed effortlessly. We could relax and enjoy it all. The setting was intimate and personal, and we never felt in the way of other guests or that they were in ours. The house and location are truly stunning, but it was the amazing team that made our wedding unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive and committed to making the day special. We're so grateful to everyone, especially Lesley and Monika, who went above and beyond. We felt completely supported from start to finish. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely come back!

We had afternoon tea as a festive treat. The food was delicious and fairly priced for the amount, and the staff were lovely. The hotel looks a little tired and could use a lick of paint, but we had a lovely, fun afternoon looking out over lake ullswater.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Leeming House, a real treat for us. The location by the lake is beautiful, and the food was excellent and nicely presented. Bar and restaurant service was professional but friendly. Our room was comfortable, with a king-size bed and two armchairs that made it easy to relax. Housekeeping was a little below perfect and cost the room a star. There was someone's shaver brush on the bathroom floor when we arrived; after the room was serviced, our used bath mat was left behind and the used cocktail glass hadn't been cleared. That may sound picky, but attention to detail is what housekeeping is about. Special mention to the barman for the delicious salted caramel espresso martini. The outside of the building looks a bit tired, especially the window frames, though it didn't spoil our enjoyment.

We booked through booking.com and got a dinner, bed and breakfast deal with a room upgrade for £238, which felt like great value. It was a short-notice overnight break with my wife, and we were offered an upgrade to a lake-facing room with a balcony. I had the best night's sleep I'd had in years. The room was fabulous, and I liked how the modern decor complements the really old building. The food was lovely. The portions weren't huge, but the meal was exquisite and left me feeling quite full. Breakfast the next morning was amazing too. Shout-out to all the staff, especially the restaurant maitre d', a lovely man with impeccable manners and professionalism. We'll definitely return. I've signed up for their mailing list so I can get a good deal next time.
